KHAJJIAR



Frequently called India's Switzerland, the flawless meadow of Khajjiar (1960m) has an outline of around 5 km. Along its edges, thick backwoods of deodar climb the inclines, the snow-line rests over these woods. At Khajjiar there is a twelfth century sanctuary devoted to KhajjI Nag. Inside the sanctuary are life size wooden pictures of the five Pandav siblings. 
ACCESS : Khajjiar is associated by street and is 23 km from Dalhousie and 26 km from Chamba. It is 520 km from Delhi. The nearest railhead is at Pathankot, 120 km. The air terminal at Gaggal in Kangra is at a separation of 180 km. Taxis and transports are accessible from all these spots. 
Atmosphere : In winter, the temperature floats around the point of solidification with snowfall and overwhelming woolens are required. In summer, the atmosphere is mellow and light woolens/cottons are prescribed.
